In Islam, the Devil’s name is ‘Iblis’ (إبليس) and nicknamed ‘Alshitan’ (الشيطان) , which resembles the Hebrew word or nickname ‘Aloesuas’ (الوسواس) meaning the whisperer. All three names refer in a broad sense to all the evil spirits who cooperate with Iblis, the head devil, but also describe Iblis himself.
